Paris Jackson finally responded to reports of her storming out of the Dior Cruise show this past weekend.
The King of Pop’s daughter arrived to the show last weekend, she was excited and taking pictures in the beginning.
She told Women’s Wear Daily in a 2018 report, “I love horses very much. I’m ecstatic.” This changed when she saw the horses being used as props in the actual runway. The Women’s Wear Daily 2018 report stated, “It all proved too much for Jackson, who huffed out barefoot, having earlier asked two assistants to help her out of her high-heeled sandals.”
According to a 2018 AOL report, The model did, however, confirm that she left because she was “taken by surprise” and a “little heartbroken” over the treatment of the horses in the French label‘s equestrian-themed show. According to Jackson, the show — which was inspired by Mexico’s female escaramuzo riders — featured animals who were “branded and whipped.”
On Tuesday evening, Jackson took to Twitter to explain her actions. She wrote, “to be clear, I did not “storm out” of the show. I quietly got up and walked out trying my hardest to not cause a scene, because I do not support animals being branded and whipped. not trying to become enemies in the fashion world in any way, but I will always be myself.” She added a second tweet that read, “Furthermore, I was not ‘enraged,’ just taken by surprise and a little heartbroken. and I have no doubt that all high-end fashion brands will soon switch over to no-fur and anti-animal cruelty, as that seems to be the pattern here. and we should all be very excited about that! :)”
Jackson did not deny her abrupt departure, nor did she choose to make any excuses for herself. When she left the show, she posted an Instagram image that read, “left early n did this ? ,” alongside a photo of her standing in the rain.
