Karl Lagerfeld has paired up with Australian ModelCo Cosmetics creating a limited-edition color cosmetics collection, focusing on the illumination makeup trend as predicted by the new line’s announcement.
The company recently paired up with Hailey Baldwin a few months ago. However, the line with Lagerfeld isn’t launched until 2018, when it will be released to the public. Although we don’t know much about this highly anticipated line, primarily since it was just recently announced with no sneak peeks of what the products will offer to the public, we can certainly speculate what we have to look forward to.
The theme of “Illuminated Beauty” has undeniably become a front runner in the makeup industry in recent years, with dewy skin and bright highlighter. The public is eagerly anticipating the 2018 cosmetics line, hungry for a tidbit of information about what we will be looking at for the collection. It is rumored that the packaging of the products is as equally superb as the makeup itself, according to the packaging team.
In addition, it was said in a received email to Bustle that the line will include “smart, modern, and iconic products,” alongside the “Illuminated Beauty” theme, which will be available globally. It will also be available for purchase at Lagerfeld stores, on KARL.com, on the ModelCo’s website, and at select beauty retailers around the world.
To announce the partnership, ModelCo posted a photograph on Instagram with the caption, “NEWS FLASH: We are excited to reveal our new beauty collaboration Karl Lagerfeld + ModelCo #ModelCo is partnering with iconic Fashion Designer @karllagerfeld on a limited-edition colour cosmetics collection. Launching early 2018.”
CEO of Karl Lagerfeld Pier Paolo Righi stated in a press release that, “Introducing the limited-edition Karl Lagerfeld + ModelCo color collection is an exciting endeavor for our brand. Through this collaboration, we can offer our consumers a glimpse into how we translate the Karl Lagerfeld vision and aesthetic into unique cosmetics.”
When describing the line itself, Righi mentioned, “We look forward to developing the collection and combining our signature DNA with innovative, cutting-edge beauty products for all women.”
In addition to the Lagerfeld team’s statements, the ModelCo founder Shelley Sullivan paralleled these assertions, confirming that the collection will be “super fun” and will combine our high-quality formulas and innovative, technical packaging with Karl Lagerfeld’s unmistakable artistic aesthetic that’s sophisticated, modern and cool.” Can 2018 come soon enough?
