With an Alice and Wonderland-like feel, Lewis Carroll gave his most recent collection a high-fashion twist on the classic children’s tale. The collection had pops of clashing color, bazaar textures, and a variety of furs accentuated with floral embroideries. The new Mon Trésor mini satchel left the audience speechless, encrusted with humongous pearls.
The extreme nature of Fendi fashion paired with decadent luxury was infused into the Resort collection that revolved around three themes: masculine elements, energetic vibes, and ribbons with pearls. The Sartorial Pop section focused on masculine elements with bold colors. The pink and mimosa yellow colors contributed to the energetic vibes on a sleek city coat paired with skinny pants, or a boxy jacket worn with a pleated ankle-length skirt.
The dreamy dresses in the Blossoming Garden section were to die for. The bright silk crepe cascaded along a long trapeze dress and was gathered at the shoulder with a black ribbon. The unrestrained feel of the dress looked modern and eccentric. Full skirts were cinched at the waist, and a series of feminine dresses had frill sprouting from the surfaces, closely resembling a garden.
Lastly, the lace, 3-D knit, mink, and furs were among the last of the themes: Ribbons and Pearls. Black sweatshirts were dressed up with huge ribbons and embroidered with pearls, snaking around the necklines and cuffs. A sporty mink bomber had pearls accentuating the edges while the black was labeled with the Fendi logo.
This collection was not only a success, but it appeals to all aspects of fashion, intriguing shoppers who are looking for specific themes to add to their wardrobe.
