There’s a recession on! Not a lot of dollars to spend on designer jeans? Daniella Siri understands. She decided to design a line of designer jeans with both comfort and sexuality in mind. Her line “Recession Denim” was designed with the concept made famous by Guess? in the 80s with the new, sexier ads featuring then-unknowns Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell.
Recession Denim line is fast becoming a widely known brand with stars like Kristen Stewart wearing them. Jaslene Gonzalez, the Cycle 8 winner of America’s Next Top Model, is the spokes model. The line, is affordably priced between $85 and $120, is currently sold in Fred Segal, Bloomingdale’s, La Vita Dolce, and Atrium, to name a few. The young designer is working on several new pieces including the Gypsy collection, featuring loose denim dresses and high-waisted jeans, as well as leggings and coats.
