Whether you’re a vehement advocate for or against Crocs, there’s no denying that these statement faux pas shoes have made an unprecedented comeback in the fashion world. But Alife, an NYC-based streetwear brand, is taking things one step further with these “Sport” Crocs with built-in-socks set to release on June 14th.
The shoes are pretty much average white Crocs with the Alife logo written across the sides. The only catch? These rubber beauties have striped tube socks permanently attached to them. So you can sport the socks-with-sandals trend anytime, any day. No instructions yet have been given on how one would actually wash these things. I don’t know about you, but I change my socks on a daily basis, if not twice a day. Socks can get gross.
The quirky label has already been known for their unique Croc designs, which include these grey “Art” Crocs with attachable New York-themed charms, and their “Classic” Crocs with the Alife logo across the front ($80).
With the socks-with-sandals trend going strong for the summer season, their Crocs with socks are sure to get a cult following somewhere with devoted followers of the controversial footwear.
Other luxury labels that have caught up to the bizarre Croc craze include Balenziaga, with these monstrously high platform Crocs debuting on their runway. And if you’re thinking no one in their right mind would ever wear these, you better take a second look at humanity: they sold out before even being released.
