With Academy mansion serving as the backdrop for this year’s Marchesa Fall’19 Collection, the showcasing was dreamy and whimsical with a little more focus on day wear. Known for their couture gowns, the brand decided to move forward and add other pieces to this season’s collection. The collection included some embroidered poplin blouses, tailored pants, and shirt dresses.
The designer transported their audience to an enchanted forest with the help of curvy vines and beautiful florals in shades of lavender and fuchsia pink. These vines were also part of the design of the pieces presented. The intricate detailing sowed fern motifs and little birds done by hand. Marchesa decided to add layers in their clothes in the form of fluffy 3-D appliqués, stiff tiered ruffles, hand-painted watercolor prints, and feather works.
