The Consumer Discovery Show, or CDS, connects the next generation of brands with active and successful retailers, influencers, investors, distributors, and consumers. These emerging brands are able to showcase what they have been working on and network with established individuals. CDS provides an opportunity for exposure and growth, which in turn can lead to a successful brand.
CDS is a summit hosted by FounderMade, an event management company dedicated to promoting and inspiring emerging entrepreneurs. FounderMade opens the door to many different opportunities and brings together the driving forces in the wellness, beauty, and food industries. The company offers a forum for people to connect and build ideas together.
This year, CDS took place at Spring Studios in New York City, and featured an impressive lineup of industry leaders, along with over 100 companies that are working to create the future of the consumer goods market. In addition, CDS held educational sessions that anyone could listen to and learn from. Topics covered were the future of retail, collaborating with influencers, business resources for building a brand, lessons on scaling a company from industry leaders, and more. Highlighted speakers included Bobbi Brown, Frederic Fekkai, Joey Gonzalez, Huda Kattan, and Leandra Cohen.
The event also held a Discovery Exhibit Lounge, which featured top consumer brands and product innovators. Investors, media, influencers, and entrepreneurs had the opportunity to connect with them and learn about brand growth and development.
Many brands at CDS were dedicated to using natural and organic ingredients, and some even focused on zero-waste design and production. The beauty floor especially contained a promising number of health-focused brands. Superface, a Korean beauty line, is the first ever cosmetics brand created with television directors. The brand is known for its incorporation of skin-loving ingredients like Vitamin C and Vitamin E. Another brand at CDS, tenoverten, showcased its cruelty-free and honest nail polish and nail care products. The brand is dedicated to non-toxic nail care.
On the floor below, food was plentiful. Attendees treated themselves to healthy granola bars, ice creams, and beverages, all made up of six ingredients or less. They were also given the chance to purchase or invest in whatever they liked.
Thanks to CDS, emerging brands now have the opportunity to meet industry insiders, get word out about their products and missions, and learn priceless insights from established brands and influencers. The young and innovative brands are the ones switching things up and inspiring change in the industry. They are starting conversations and setting new standards. CDS is making it possible for these small brands to make a big difference, and ultimately shaping the future of the consumer goods market.
