What is the price of beauty? Jessica Simpson intends to find out as she travels the world in search of differing cultural concepts on the subject.  Yes, Jessica will be back on reality TV but this time she’ll be asking questions that could indeed be intriguing.  On March 15 Jessica debuts as the host of “Jessica Simpson’s The Price of Beauty, a new reality show on VH-1.

The blonde beauty is on the cover of the March issue of Allure Magazine and in-between the pages Jessica discusses her views on America’s obsession with weight, how she’s guiding her life and what she is unwilling to do for an Oscar.  Writer Alexandra Jacob’s journeyed to Jessica’s home in  Beverly Hills for a real life look at the singer-actress in her natural habitat complete with burps, verbal trips, and true confessions on love.

“I’m vulnerable in any moment,” Jessica told the writer.  “I don’t care if the cameras are on or not, you’re going to get the real me.  There’s no reason to mask that, because that’s what has given me the chance to be in a powerful position.”  Business opportunities have given her added influence with her song and screen career.  She has her clothing and accessories line and, “Fancy Love” – her signature fragrance.

Jessica has suffered through fat jokes as she has put on a few pounds since her Dukes of Hazzard days.  But she is now confident, and says quite frankly that she doesn’t care about the criticism.  Talking about her visit to Morocco, she told Jacob’s that reflecting on the women wearing the “djellaba” – a style that covers the woman from head to toe except for one small area – was an eye opener.  “The men choose these women through their eyes….How romantic is that,” she says.  “Gosh, if I could be covered up in a djellaba for the rest of my life, I could eat all the chips and pizza I wanted.  My job is to be creative.  And I’m not weighing in for anybody.”

We’ve watched her romantic entanglements over the years wondering when Jessica would find the right man.  She now says she knows what she’s looking for.  “I definitely will marry an artistic man,” she says.  “It will show you the colors of my character, the person that I fall in love with next.  I don’t even have a type.  I don’t have a physical type.  I have an emotional type.  When you have yourself together, I don’t care what you look like at all.”  These are serious words of wisdom from a woman now focused on inner beauty.
