“We’re not in fashion, we’re in slave labor,” proclaimed Kelly Cutrone’s assistant, Andrew Mukamal. New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 is finally over, but now People’s Revolution has to prepare for London Fashion Week on the fourth episode of Kell on Earth. Before the senior team jetted off to London, a press event for Alternative Apparel was held outside the city.
The informal cocktail party for Alternative Apparel was a way for editors to socialize and to get to know the client’s work. Kelly was transported to the festivity in a helicopter. Stephanie Vorhees and Elide, an assistant, got a bit inebriated. Apparently after the bash was over, some gentlemen that Elide was associating with stole bottles of alcohol. To add insult to injury, Page Six picked up the story. The partners were extremely unpleased and embarrassed by the situation. Elide was subsequently dismissed for her inappropriate behavior by Emily Bungert and Robyn Berkley.
With Elide gone, Stephanie Vorhees sensed that she was a “dead man walking.” Taking matters into her own hands, Vorhees basically asked Emily to fire her. “I know I’m getting fired, so basically I’m going to make a list of everything that needs to be taken care of, so nothing gets left undone” was how Stephanie Vorhees ended her working relationship with People’s Revolution.
Kelly, Robyn, and Emily leave for London with an extremely understaffed office. They have to consult for London Fashion Week and produce fashion shows. For the House of Holland show, People’s Revolution was hired to ensure that American press came to the event and that they were properly seated. Henry Holland was inspired by a wedding, so he held the runway show in a church. Models with sheer day-glo lace dresses with no bra were prancing down the runway. The collection received great reviews, and was picked up by Barneys. Also while in London, Cutrone met up with her daughter’s father, the dashing Ilario Calvo.
Back at the office, the rest of team was drowning in work, especially Stefanie Skinner. She had to officially handle all of Stephanie Vorhees’ responsibilities. Down two people, Andrew Mukamal was in charge of hiring new help. He found someone, but the oblivious intern started tweeting about her new job with People’s Revolution. Needles to say, her offer was declined. Will Stephanie Skinner be able to handle her mounting responsibilities? Stay tuned … next Monday at 10pm on Bravo.
