For almost two decades Vera Wang has redefined what it means to be a modern bride.  Her designs are both fashion forward and awe inspiring. Vera continues this legacy with designs that are timeless and unforgettable in her Spring 2010 Collection inspired by fantasy and freedom.  Light and flowing dresses with larger than life accents are clear staplesin this collection.  Ribbons, bows and flowers adorn the ballroom style gowns adding dramatic flair, while the simplistic A-line designs give chic diversity to the looks.  The Audrey Hepburn inspired, “Daphne” dress is perfect for the Bride who wants to keep it simple. The short length is a great fit for a memorable walk down the aisle and doubles as a sophisticated party ensemble. The strapless cocktail dress is made entirely of tissue organza and English net, with banded multi-tiered layering throughout for the youthful bride-to-be.

DAPHNE

A beach setting is a very romantic and intensely visual way to exchange vows. So having a dress that is comfortable and regal makes all the difference. The “Dylan” baby doll gown is beautifully designed with sheath fabric, based with an A-line skirt that is made to move seamlessly as the bride takes her first waltz or runs off into the sunset with her new husband. The centerpiece of this gown is the oversized bow and criss-cross design placed on the patterned bodice.

Vera gives the gift of Royalty for any new age Bride with the “Dorothy” dress.  Working with watercolor patterns for this design, Vera opted for tulle, tissue organza, chiffon and charmeuse to create the gown. She completed the look with an extravagant beadwork of vintage crystals at the bust. The gown comes in nude and pink champagne watercolor, all ivory, all white, as well as ivory with pink champagne.

DOROTHY

The “Dawn” dress is bridal couture that will keep everyone’s eyes glued to you, as the aisle becomes your very own runway. The portrait neckline and bow-tie at the shoulder give grandeur to the gown. The skirt is styled with gathered tulle and silk, which displays Vera’s true artistry and eye for
detail.

DAWN

For a grand finale feast your eyes on the “Didi” gown. Its heavily pleated bodice is strapless and provides a beautiful silhouette for any body type. The full hand painted A-line skirt neatly tucked at the waist accented with a silk sash. The peek-a-boo tulle underlay completes the look, and comes in citrus, ivory and white. The entire collection is priced from $2000-$8,000. Learn more on how to dress for a wedding Vera’s way at www.verawangweddings.com
