It’s been quite the year for Bella Hadid. From walking in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for the first time to announcing the launch of a clothing line, she deserves major recognition. And that is what she got. Models.com voted her top model in the women’s category for 2016.
She’s the new ‘it’ girl. How do we know? Her number one spot was chosen by 250 voters “representing a wide range of the industry’s top professionals, including many of the industry’s top stylists, designers, photographers, editors, hair and makeup artists and casting directors, and a wide range of the next generation of the industry’s emerging creative talents”. So the fashion and modeling industry sees her achievements and accomplishments and also sees her potential in the future.
The awards are given for ten various categories ranging from model of year to breakout star to even social media star. Following woman Model of the Year, Jordan Barrett won the Model of the Year Award for men. As for the Breakout Star Award for women, model Adwoa Aboah took the prize. And for men? Connor Newall. Then, Gigi Hadid deservingly took home the Social Media Star Award for women, and for men, Jordan Barrett again won.
